Zadar, 14 September 2026 – Infobip Shift 2026, Europe’s leading developer and AI conference, taking place from 13 to 15 September at the Višnjik Sports Center, has once again transformed Zadar into one of the region’s key technology hubs, bringing together 3,000 attendees.

During the three-day conference, local and international experts from more than 600 companies around the world will follow a program across six stages and five halls, spanning more than 15,000 square meters of space dedicated to artificial intelligence, software development, and the future of the technology industry. This year’s edition takes place as Infobip celebrates 20 years in business, giving the conference additional significance. Since its beginnings, Shift has grown beyond its local and regional roots to become a gathering place for the international developer community and leading technology experts.

One of the conference’s core objectives is to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration with leading experts from around the world. This year’s program addresses the technology industry’s most pressing challenges, from the practical application of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity in the AI era to the infrastructure needed to support the next generation of technological innovation.

## Real-world applications of artificial intelligence

The program focuses on the real-world application of artificial intelligence, exploring how AI is moving from the hype phase into concrete business and development processes and what this means for developers’ day-to-day work. A highlight of the conference program was a keynote by Luis Velasco, Forward Deployed Engineer at OpenAI.

In his presentation, Velasco discussed the next phase of the technology industry’s evolution, in which AI agents will take center stage and play an increasingly important role in software development and business processes.

## Technology as a driver of economic growth

One of the conference’s key themes is how Europe and the region can build globally competitive technology companies and drive AI innovation through their own development model. The conference program also features the panel “How Croatia’s largest companies are using technology to move Croatia forward,” moderated by Damir Prusac, Vice President of Research Partnerships at Infobip.

The panel will bring together representatives of successful Croatian companies to discuss how technology can drive the country’s long-term economic development. This milestone edition of Shift further reinforces the position of Croatia and the wider region as a relevant hub for discussions about the future of technology, software development, and the startup ecosystem.
